Recent scientific advances allow us to step in front of the disease curve, addressing illness in a more specific and “personalized” approach than ever before. Not only can we react based on our tacit knowledge of a patient, but we can predict and forecast disease. This full-day live CME course focuses on the early diagnosis and management of cardiometabolic diseases and their associated cardiovascular disease risk factors, such as dyslipidemia, atherosclerosis, and diabetes. This course will also highlight new approaches to cancer screening and prevention, as well as management of depression in patients with chronic disease. Top thought leaders and healthcare professionals will come together in this interactive educational forum on advances in disease management, which truly represent the future of medicine. Advances in imaging techniques, molecular-based understanding of disease and genetics-based treatment have improved the physician’s ability to diagnose and treat these chronic diseases, while new concepts in biomarkers and risk reduction allow practical prevention strategy implementation in every physician practice.
Primary care physicians, hospitalists, program directors, and specialists involved in cardiology, endocrinology, hematology/oncology, infectious diseases, and women’s health.
